Hire a Harpist

When should the Harpist
play & for how long?

Plan your event.  Harpists are a perfect choice for intimate settings such as a wedding ceremony or background music to set a desired ambience for your event.  Receptions, cocktail hour, wine tastings, dinner or holiday parties can all be made to shine with elegant harp music.  Request a quote for more ideas on how to create the perfect atmosphere at your next gathering.

Time & price.  Each event has it's own distinct personality and price.  Quotes are based on requested time and location.

Arrival time:  One hour prior to the performance to set up and tune.

What is included in a
Wedding Ceremony?

Prelude: Background music 20/30 minutes as guests arrive.

Processional/Entrance: Music for the attendants and bride/groom to walk down the aisle.

CeremonyMusic for unity candle, sand ceremony, etc.

RecessionalOne song performed as newly weds walk back down aisle.

PostludeMusic following the ceremony as guests mingle or retreat to reception, dependent upon the length of time arranged in the contract.

Additional time:  Couples often miss the prelude music while they are preparing for the wedding to begin.  Opt for an additional 30-60 minutes to enjoy the music after the ceremony during a cocktail hour or photo session.

Schedule a free consultation: Choose your ceremony music.

More questions?

Do you perform with others?   I perform regularly with violinist, Cecilia Yale and cellist, Lou Groffman.  String instruments blend very well together and will bring your event to another level.  Combos currently available:

Duo ~ Harp & Violin

Trio ~ Harp, Violin & Cello

Can you perform outside?  Yes!  If your dream is to have an outdoor event, ensure there is a flat, hard surface; moderate temperatures are required due to the delicate nature of the harp.  You'll need to make sure the harp is under cover & protected from the elements, including direct sunlight.

How far in advance should I book?  Plan 6-12 months in advance of your date.  Peak wedding season is May-September, start inquiring early to hire on a Saturday.

What equipment is required?  I am fully self-contained, with the exception of a tent or shelter from the elements. For large events, I have either a small cordless or a larger electric amplifier.

Can I request a song? Absolutely!  I'm happy to take requests if I can find sheet music online.  Not all music lends itself to the harp, I will give you an honest opinion if it will sound good on the harp.
